You will need to be at least 17 years old and you will also need to obtain a provisional driving licence, you can do this online. You may also want to consider having an eye test to ensure that you can read a number plate at the required distance (20.5 metres, approximately 67 feet or 5 car lengths).

You will need to bring your provisional licence so that I can check the information. You will also need to bring any glasses you may require to read the number plate at the correct distance. Lastly you will need to bring cash to pay for your driving lesson as I do not accept card.

If you do not have sufficient funds to pay for the lesson then we will not be able to undertake the lesson. If you need to go to a cash point, this will be within your allotted time.

If you cancel your lesson within 24 hours of the scheduled time then no charge will be incurred. Any lessons cancelled with less then 24 hours notice will be charged at full price and payable at the next scheduled lesson.

I recommend that lessons are taken weekly as a minimum but ideally twice per week as this will help you progress quicker.

The number of lessons varies from person to person as there are many varying factors such as age, learning style and availability. However I will review your progress on an ongoing basis and inform you when you are ready to book your test.

No, you can begin lessons before undertaking your theory but it is beneficial to have some understanding of the rules of the road and road signs ahead of your lessons. Please keep in mind that you will need to pass your theory before you can apply for your practical test.

I use a Ford Fiesta dual controlled car for all lessons. The car is manual.
